explanations

I really get annoyed when people don't understand and expect you to explain to them your reason of doing things.

Personally i believe there is only a handful of people we owe explanations to. That could be your parents, you significant other or even your sibling, but not some random that you only know from around and not that familiar to them.

People should know that we do things that feel right to us at that point in time, and if it doesn't affect the next person, then they really have no business to be asking what was going on.

Some people should just learn to mind their own business and do what they need to do and not do what will make the public happy, and not have to explain themselves to people who are not of great significance in their lives.
I am gona sound like the biggest groupie, for even blogging about this, but when i woke up this morning, the first thing that i do is check my phone, for my Twitter timeline to see what i missed when I was asleep.

To my surprise, the news that struck me the most, was the news of Beyonce and Jay Z confirmed that they are expecting a baby! That is such a contrast of news, because over the passed few months they have been rumoured to be in the process of a divorce.

Then again, you can't exactly believe what you hear in hollywood, but i think that's just great, maybe not for Beyonce, but for Jay Z... He is'nt getting any younger.

People have been waiting for this to happen, and finally it is. All the best with Beyonce's pregnancy

conventional is a good fallback position isn't it?

Conventional is conforming to the standards accepted by people.I feel like we as people do end up sticking to the norm and hardly take the chance to try new things.

Taking a leap of faith and trying out new things is easier said than done, but it should be all about the things that we as people want to achieve ant the end of the day. If we want to achieve great things, we need to get out of the box and do things that are not so convential, and if it doesnt work out, we could always go back to being convential.

The thing is, it is a fallback position, but we don't necessarily have to go through our lives that way. We could take the risk and try new things. It may end up working to our advantage.

you cant chase two rabbits at the same time.

So the saying says that you can't chase towo rabbits at the same time....

Well, that depends on who you are and what you are going to be doing with those rabbits. We usually believe that we should follow through with one thing at a time, rather than doing everything all at the same time.

This may be true, but it all depends on who you are and what you are trying to achieve, because i believe that you can chase two rabbits at the same time, it just depends on how you choose to chase them.

Once we become strategic in the way we are going to be tackling things, then we are able to know where our strengths are and how we will aim for the prize

reality check

It's sad to see your life passing you by and only realising very late that you didnt do much with your life, and that you wasted so much valuable and precious time that you can't get back.

I think that we tend to feel that way when you are in such a comfort zone where become so used to whatever the situation is, it could be a job that isn't good, and not allowing growth for you as a person, but you stick around because you are stuck in this place and it is too difficult to get yourself out of it.

At the end of the day, the strength should come from within to pick yourself out and change your mindset in order to see yourself living the life that you've always wanted, because no one will do something for you if you can'y help yourself.

'nothing is more dangerous than an idea, when you only have one idea' Alain

This is very true.

i feel that we as people dont really give much thought into what we doing and the things that we are trying to do, we only live for the now, and sadly not thinking ahead.

This can be seen when starting up your own business, whatever it may be. The idea may be great, and may work out in the beginning. What we sometimes don't want to consider in life is that something may work for now, but may not continue to work for a long time. What then do we do when something fails and there is no back up plan?

We should really get our ducks in a row, before we execute plan A, and that plan B will be used if plan A didn't work out.

Have you figured out the second head fake?

This was a lecture that was given by Professor Randy Pausch in 2007. This lecture is about people achieving their childhood dreams, and at the time of the lecture, he was diagnosed with six months to live.
If I were to quote Randy Pausch, “it’s not about how to achieve your dreams. It’s about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you”
I fully agree with this statement as I am a big believer in karma, because the manner, in which you go about things, whether good or bad, will come back to you in the same way, maybe even twice as much.
We need to understand as people in the world, that it’s good and well to want to achieve success and all that, but we must go about it in a good way or else we won’t be as blessed as we should be.

My mom

How cliché it is for people to be talking and celebrating their mothers, and I will do the same this time.
On a serious note, I don’t think I would be able to express all the things that my mother has done for me all my life and is still continuing to do for me.
My mother has been the most instrumental figure in my life, and I doubt I would ever be able to be twice the woman that she is, although I can try.
My mother has always been the rock, playing both the mother and father role in my life from the time I was one, after my father passed to both my brother and I.
I guess it is also fitting to be celebrating the number one woman in my life, because the month of August is known to be the Women’s month, but it also my mother’s birthday on the 4th of August.
I will just end off by wishing my mom a happy birthday for the 4th, happy womens day in advance, and a ‘thank you’ for being there. My mother is BOSS!

How hard is it to follow instructions?

Because people are different and interpret things differently in their minds, i think that it is quite difficult to follow instructions.
They probably end up doing what makes sense in their mind, instead of asking questions if they seem to be confused in what they have been told to do.
They do say that there is no such thing as a stupid question, but let’s be real, it’s better to look stupid for 2minutes for asking the obvious, than to go ahead with something that you’re not sure about, and possibly ruining the whole task that is asked of you.
Most of the time the confusion in following instructions is when the person who is actually giving the instructions doesn’t know them self, what they’re doing.
It sucks living in a world of confusion, so people should know what they’re doing, if they don’t, they best be asking.
