Do you think crying is a sign of weakness or strength

We have a lot to say when we see people cry, we automatically assume that they are weak because they are showing the world how they are feeling at that point in time, and they can’t control their emotions.
When I was going through my timeline on Twitter, one of the people I’m following tweeted something to the effect of, “we shouldn’t see crying as a sign of weakness, but as strength because when we are born we cry”
Crying is just another way of stating how you feel because in most cases, the words that we’re trying to say can’t be said which then makes the tears flow.
I don’t see it as a weakness because to me it’s another form of emotional release

My favorite cat in the hat book is The Cat in the Hat comes back because…

Lol, personally I really can’t remember much about the Cat in the Hat series of books, maybe it was because I never gave it much time of day. Probably because I always wanted to play outside, and also because I didn’t always like reading.
What I do remember vaguely from the cat in the Hat was my time in primary school, and the books were still there when I went to aftercare from school.
If I could remember a book from the series is “The Cat in the Hat comes back” where he creates a crisis in a pink bathtub ring and leaves a pink residue after he snacks on a cake in the bath with the water running. Attempts to clean it up fail which causes havoc.
Other than that, the series is still relevant for young kids and I would recommend that the kids of today read these books

Family

There is a saying  ‘blood is thicker than water’ although cliché, is but true.
I was fortunate enough to spend time with family that I don’t often see and don’t get the time to spend with this weekend.
I have family that came down to Cape Town from Vereeniging and that was a major treat to spend time with them, I also got the chance to see my nephew, who is now four, and the last time I saw him, he was still an infant.
It was also great to see my grandmother, which I don’t make enough time to see, and spend time with, and listen to all her stories.
There really isn’t much that I can say about the matter, but the fact that we should appreciate and treasure each moment we spend with those who we love, because, we never know if that will be the last time that we spend with them.

Why I have conversations.

Whether we realize or not, but we as people have conversations every day, all day. Some of us never take note that the voices and the thoughts that go on in our heads are conversations.
It’s quite difficult to have a conversation with ourselves because, we may not get the answers that we seek, but in fact, sometimes looking within ourselves is just what we need in order to gain perspectives and to know what we need to do.
People need people, and having conversations is a need that people have to have. Human interaction is an imperative for people to grow and to realize the ways of the worlds.
There’s one movie that I can think of when a man is the only survivor in a plane crash, and then he becomes stuck on an island. The biggest challenge that the man struggles with is the fact that he has no one to talk to, and resorts to drawing a face on a ball that he found from the place crash wreckage and begins to talk to this ball and interacts with this ball as if it’s a human. Obviously the ball doesn’t answer back.
I feel if we don’t have conversations with ourselves and with people, we won’t be complete as people.

Do we really change?

As soon as people find themselves in relationships, it often easy for them to change and lose themselves and forget who they were before they were in a relationship.
It may be unfair to say that we shouldn’t change who we are when we are in a relationship, but I do believe that depending on the nature of the relationship, that will determine if the person is more likely to change.
I’ve seen this happening quite often and I personally am not a fan of changing overnight just because one finds themselves in a relationship.
With anything that happens in our lives, we should be happy with who we are first, before we are able to invite someone in our space and in our life, because, that person may or not be there forever, but we will be stuck with ourselves at the end of the day

Summer trends

So summer is slowly setting in…. well maybe not in Cape Town as of yet,  but because of the line of work that I am in, I can’t help but take note of all the things that are said to be in for the spring/summer season of ’11.
The most obvious trend that one can notice is colour. Bold colour is in and with colour, comes patters. The pattern that is a must have is stripes… if I can actually call it a pattern, but yeah.
Bold stripes, they look amazing and a must have for all women is a pair of espadrille wedges, if you’re not into wedges, then maybe pumps for you. But one cannot go on this season without a pair of espadrilles.
As the season goes on, it will be more interesting to see the other trends coming in. apparently the nautical theme is in again, but I will definitely have my eye to see what’s going be in.

My big fat BIG dream

When we grow up, we often think and have dreams as to how our life is going to plan out. Most people often dream about having that sports car, earning lots and lots of money, marrying the perfect partner and just having it all in terms of what society says is the dream.

The things that i dream of for myself, it's firstly a collective of dreams that all comes together to form one dream.

Apart from the things I have mentioned above that people usually dream about, I would really love to travel across the world. I feel that firstly I need to explore the things that are in my own country before going to other countries, and then travel across Africa.

Thats one of my biggest dreams. Apart from wanting to travel so badly, I feel that I need to do this before I settle down and relax with my life. The biggest thing would also be to happy with myself before trying to please other people.
