is Cape Town racist

we have often heard of Cape Town being racist and only meant for white people and coloured people. The black people are often said tobe the one who are still suffering not only in everyday life, but also in the social scene.

i have a few friends from Joburg, and are always shocked and appalled at the way black people are being treated escpecially when they are going to restuarants and clubs.

one such place is a club called asoka. for the music that they play there, which is house, they always have an excuse when a black person wants to come into the door, they usually say that it is reserved for people who are on the list.

there are a few other establishments such as that, but mostly people rave about asoka.

i generally have a jam there, but laterly their treatment to customers who are black has been poor. sadly not much has been done about this.

  1. I guess this is not the first post on social network. I also enjoy Asoka, but i cant deny there is bias taking place. At times i'm in denial of the treatment there. I convinced my self that its all about class and style and not race. Deep down i get the feeling it has everything thing with controlling the number of black people entering their door.
